IT Specialist

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Friends of the Auburn Tower Inc.

A dedicated IT specialist is needed to help us with our archives. We have a large volume of photos, some dating back 100 years, to be digitised and indexed. We also have new digital material to be stored in the cloud on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate would be able to work from home at his/her own pace.

Willingness to join the Committee to assist in the day to day running of the Association would be desirable but not essential.

Note: You will need to be a resident of Melbourne, Victoria to express interest in this volunteer role.

Training

We are unable to provide training, but would support training by a third party provider if necessary.

Time required

Four or five Committee meetings per year, plus the AGM. Some meetings may be online only, others held in Hawthorn, easily accessible by train, bus or tram. Off-street car and bicycle parking available.

Reimbursement

Out-of-pocket expenses may be reimbursed on production of receipts and subject to approval.

Members of the Committee must first be members of the Association, for which a modest annual subscription applies. This would be waived for new graduates. Access to digitisation hardware and software would be most advantageous.
