Shops Manager - Wildlife Welfare Organisation

Wildlife Welfare Organisation (SA) Inc
Logo for Wildlife Welfare Organisation (SA) Inc

The Wildlife Welfare Organisation is looking for a motivated and energetic volunteer to take overall responsibility for Managing our two fundraising Op Shops in Goolwa and Victor Harbor.

Each year WWO rescues and rehabilitates over 1000 injured native birds and animals on the Fleurieu Peninsula and the lower Murray, and our Op Shops are a vital part of our fundraising efforts to support our work.

The position would suit either a retired person or someone receiving a Centrelink benefit who needs to volunteer for a certain number of hours each week.

Someone with retail experience would be great - but not essential. More important is a strong desire to make a contribution to our local community by raising funds to support local wildlife rescue.

Both shops have Coordinators, who run the shops on a day-to-day basis. The Coordinators train new volunteers regarding donations, retail duties and any supportive administration. Our Shop Manager is available for any advice needed. Both shops in total have approximately 40 volunteers.

The Wildlife Welfare Shops have a good reputation for professionalism, good prices and above all a friendly and helpful approach to customers.

The Shop Manager visits both shops on a regular basis to catch up with coordinators, other volunteers and customers.
