Hospital Visits Officers - Recruiting APRIL 2025

- The RSL South Eastern District is committed to promoting practices that maintain the mental health of veterans and their families to empower them to better manage their mental wellbeing and support.
- Veteran Wellbeing Coordination Centre Volunteers embody the spirit of giving their time to meet inside Greenslopes Private Hospital to talk about the challenges our veterans and families are facing and connecting them to a range of support services across Queensland just trough having a chat and grabbing details if someone is needing help.
- Our activities provided may include, but are not limited to, checking on patients, having a chat, asking if they need anything, grabbing contact details, and taking up books (Army, Navy, RAAF), newspapers, care packs, emergency packs, cards, puzzles, and magazines to our patients, to better manage isolating experiences for veterans in hospital.
- Our hospital visitors will be confident, and punctual, have a friendly personality, and have the ability to relate well to elderly and unwell people on their own. Well-developed interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to display a calm and empathetic manner are important in this working environment.
