Volunteer Podcast / Webinar Host

The Role We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic podcast / webinar host with a passion for sustainability to work with our friendly, dynamic team to inspire people worldwide to make a better future. You'll work with our podcast team to create and coordinate a variety of podcasts for THRIVE, and lead our webinars as a host when needed. You should have excellent communication skills and be capable of working both independently and as a group. Some examples of tasks as a podcast host include: Run podcast episodes on a regular basis. Research the content for episodes, to familiarise yourself with the subject, and prepare questions/prompts for guests and conversational focus areas. Liaise with guests (and co-hosts when applicable) within an online podcast setting. Discuss and formulate potential discussion points to frame questions around. Record episodes using Zencastr. For our upcoming series, we plan on recording episodes between 30 mins - 1 hr in length. Introduce and conclude webinar events as needed, including introducing THRIVE and the event. Introduce the speakers and anyone else who speaks at the event. Guides the schedule at the event and when speakers present. As part of THRIVE, you will have the opportunity to champion new initiatives and improve existing ones. This occurs through regular meetings with team members, and presenting ideas to people from a variety of disciplines. You will also keep track of your activities. Your efforts will enrich our content and help inspire people to create a thrivable future.

Your experience Deep knowledge of sustainability / thrivability. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to facilitate conversations with a variety of people. At least 2 years of experience in podcasting, radio presenting, hosting or a similar role.

Ideally, you should have Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience. Fluency in English (preferred). A desire to make a sustainable world. A collaborative team player mindset. Excellent communication and organisation skills. Well-developed problem-solving abilities. Willingness to learn new skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. The ability to be proactive and self-manage your time. A self-driven mindset to make a better future for all.
