About Healthy Workplaces:

Healthy Workplaces is a charity that promotes wellness and engagement in the workplace. Our mission is to create healthy workplaces where employees can thrive and be productive. Since 2011, Healthy Workplaces has been motivating employees around the world to #QuitTheSit. We do this through our highly engaging, corporate wellness initiatives: Tour de Office and Step Forward.

About Step Forward:

Step Forward is a motivational tool that helps to keep people active and connected. The Step Forward app tracks user steps through integrations with Garmin, Fitbit, Apple Health, and Google Fit. To encourage users to increase their step count per day. Users don’t need a wearable device – they can just use their phone! Perfect to get everyone involved.

About Tour de Office:

Tour de Office is an annual charity event that raises funds for Healthy Workplaces. Participants cycle on stationary bikes in their office for 30 minutes at a time, with the aim of cycling the equivalent distance of a stage of the Tour de France. The event promotes physical activity and team building while raising money for a good cause.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced board member to join our team. As a board member, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the organisation. You will work closely with other board members and staff to ensure that Healthy Workplaces continues to deliver high-quality programs and services. Please note the position is on a voluntary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and oversight to the organisation Ensure that Healthy Workplaces continues to deliver high-quality programs and services Work closely with other board members and staff Attend board meetings and other events as required, a time commitment of up to 6 hours per month is likely to be required Qualifications:

Experience as a board member or similar role Knowledge of governance principles and practices Experience in the not-for-profit sector Strong communication skills Passion for health and wellbeing Ideally, you will have an interest in cycling/sports-related charity events How to Apply:
