The Volunteer Sewing Group Leader will be supported by the Community Development Officer for The Rise Community Centre. The Group Leader is responsible for planning (with support), setting up, coordinating and leading the sewing group 1, which will be attended by a diverse group of people from withing the community. The role requires you to support and instruct those with a varying degree of sewing skills while creating projects in a safe and encouraging environment.

Sewing group 2 will require you to support the team who create scrunchies and tote bag with the purpose of fundraising for The Rise's programs, these are then donated to local charities.
