Volunteers in this role will play a critical part in assisting and supporting both animals and pet owners affected by bushfires and other emergencies in NSW. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up and assisting at evacuation centres and RSPCA Relief Points, distributing pet supplies, and providing valuable support to pet owners in need.

This role is suited to applicants who are passionate about helping people and animals during times of emergency.

Requirements:

Volunteers must be over 18 years Enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare and helping people Complete our online induction and quiz within 7 days Volunteers are needed on an as-needed basis during emergency situations. The time commitment may vary depending on the scale and urgency of relief efforts. Volunteers will be informed of deployment opportunities in advance. Volunteers could be required to lift heavy equipment and spend long periods of time standing.

Location - various - RSPCA Relief Points and Evacuation Centres to be advised.
