As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in helping us raise the necessary funds to provide sports opportunities and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in our community. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies to support the financial needs of our Special Olympics Clubs.
- Engage with potential donors, sponsors, and partners who share our passion and values.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives that captivate our audience and generate donations.
- Utilise various channels, including social media and online platforms, to promote fundraising efforts and engage the community.
- Collaborate closely with the executive committee and social media team to maximise fundraising opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of donors, donations, and fundraising activities.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of fundraising in the not-for-profit sector.
- Creativity and an ability to think outside the box to generate new and exciting fundraising ideas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with donors, sponsors, and community members.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities to plan and execute successful fundraising activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse team of volunteers.
- Previous fundraising, event planning, or marketing experience is a plus but not required.
