As Grounds Maintenance Specialist you will make a significant difference to the Kurilpa Scout Group by using your handyman skills to maintainand enhance the grounds around our glorious 100 year old celebrated community hall otherwise known as the 'Den' (situated in the iconic Yeronga Memorial Park)

Your responsibilities will include:

• maintaining and expanding the current gardens and grassed areas whre our youth members conduct their scouting activities
• collaborate with the Committee to identify maintenance priorities for attention
• once identified, decide in conjuction with the Committee whether or not you are able to carry out the works yourself or will we need the sevices of professional tradespeople
• obtain professional quotes from relevant providers to ensure successful projects
• keep accurate records of expenditure (NB receipts) for speedy reimbursement
• keep the Committee informed re updates, opportunities or requirements related to grounds maintenance
• ensure compliance with Brisbane City Council grounds requirements

An attractive space willl improve the experience of scouting and be a source of pride for the community

Level and well grassed open areas will provide a safe and enjoyable place for youth members to be active

Thriving plants and grass mitigages against erosion and rainwater run off into the Den building.
