Admin Volunteer
Welfare Rights CentreThe Welfare Rights Centre is a community legal centre that specializes in social security law and family assistance law. We provide free legal information, advice and representation to thousands of New South Wales residents each year who have been affected by Centrelink decisions.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 1x 4hr shift per week in an administration role for a minimum of 6 months. We are open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
You will be:

Engaging with a wide range of clients.

Answering phone calls to our general admin line.

Responding to incoming emails and website inquiries.

Undertaking file and data management.

Supporting our solicitors with research projects.

Contacting client’s; including appointment confirmation and obtaining documentation.

Performing general administration duties
Qualities that we are looking for:

Organisational skills

Ability to communicate confidentially and respectfully

Passion for human rights and economic justice

Genuine interest in supporting our work and providing assistance to those most vulnerable
This position would be suitable for an experienced volunteer, preferably with administrative experience who is comfortable using various online software systems.
We strongly encourage applications from people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as mature aged applicants.
