Position Overview: FNQ Volunteers is seeking a passionate Volunteer Grant Researcher and Writer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to contribute their skills to support our organization's mission and initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to help us make a greater impact in the community. Hours and work location are flexible.

#Key Responsibilities:

Grant Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporate sources that align with FNQ Volunteers' programs and initiatives.

Grant Writing: Prepare compelling grant proposals and applications that effectively communicate our organization's goals, impact, and funding needs. Collaborate with team members to gather necessary information and data for proposals.

Grant Management: Oversee the grant application process, including submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and grant compliance. Maintain a calendar of grant opportunities and ensure timely submissions.

Relationship Building: Together with the Program Coordinator, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with grant-making organizations, donors, and partners to enhance FNQ Volunteers' funding prospects and collaborations.

Budget Development: Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and finance team to develop accurate and realistic budgets for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with grant guidelines and objectives.

Grant Reporting: Together with the Program Coordinator, prepare and submit timely and accurate progress reports and grant acquittals to funders, highlighting the impact of their support and compliance with grant requirements.

Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and changes in grant funding opportunities to adapt FNQ Volunteers' strategies accordingly.
