Spend time with an elderly person who would like a social visitor at our residential aged care home at Hammondville. We are looking for a caring individual who can sit and have a chat, reminisce, and talk about topics of interest with an elderly person living with dementia in their preferred language. Ideally you will be a fluent Arabic, Spanish, Croatian or Italian speaker.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
