Enjoy providing a sensory experience for our residents with dementia to promote relaxation. Set up a room for residents with an aroma diffuser, calming music, and provide hand massages.

Ideally you'll be available for 1-2 hours each week for 6-12 months. We'll provide any necessary equipment; all you need is to bring your calm and compassionate self.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
