Vinnies offers opportunities for members of the community to give their time, talents and other skills to assist the less fortunate members of our community by volunteering in their state-of-the-art distribution centre. Volunteers assist the truck drivers with the daily collection of donated goods and delivery of supplies to those in need in the community. As a Vinnies volunteer you are a change-maker, leaving a positive mark on your community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide your own steel-capped safety boots. Assisting with the loading and unloading of the trucks. Assist with maintaining stock control in the distribution centre. Moving furniture and clothing. Assisting with furniture storage. General warehouse duties. Warehouse house keeping.

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and ATTRIBUTES: Able to show empathy and respect towards others. Non-judgemental and patient attitude. Have a friendly and helpful disposition. Be able to work within a team of other volunteers and staff. Able to adhere to occupational health and safety standards. Have a good local knowledge of the collection and delivery areas. Physically fit. Excellent customer service skills.
