About Us Circle Paints opened its doors in February 2023. We now have thousands of litres of interior and exterior paints in stock, and we're building a loyal following in the mural painting and No Waste networks of Sydney.

What this role involves We are currently open to the public for part of the day from Tuesday to Saturday,. We currently need a buddy for our Tuesday volunteer who is working alone, but would also value help on other days.

We always have one person rostered on each day who is confident handling customer questions, but we're now getting so busy that our current staff member can get swamped, so our customers would have a better experience if we had a second person there to answer enquiries.

Some knowledge of paint is highly valued, because most questions are of a technical nature (e.g. do I need undercoat?). Willingness to so some hands-on work with paint is especially useful, because some customers ask us to tip off a small amount from one of our larger tins and tubs.

There is no cash handling involved, but the role involves taking tap payments and putting the customer order through the back end of our website.

We have a kettle/toaster/microwave so you can make yourself drinks and snacks.

Who would this role suit? This role would suit anyone who:

• already knows a fair bit about paint, or is a fast learner who can acquire the necessary knowledge

• is an extrovert who likes talking to new people

• doesn't have a back or arm injury (you need to be able to move paint around on the shelves and lift tubs down)

• is available in daytimes (morning or afternoon is equally fine, with lunchtime our peak time)

• is reliable.

• can commit to a minimum of 3 months to ensure continuity and effectiveness in the role.
