We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Phone Technicians to join our team and contribute to our mission of helping survivors regain access to communication and support through a safe phone. You will play a crucial role in repairing and restoring mobile phones that will be repurposed and distributed to those experiencing domestic violence.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Utilise your technical expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues affecting mobile phones.
- Screen and Battery Replacements: Perform screen and battery replacements with precision and care to restore functionality to damaged devices.
- Hardware Repair: Skilfully repair or replace faulty hardware components, such as charging ports, speakers, and buttons, ensuring the phones are in good working condition.
- Software Solutions: Resolve software-related problems, including system crashes, software glitches, and firmware updates, to ensure the phones are fully functional.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on repaired devices to ensure they are fully operational.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an organised inventory of replacement parts and tools to ensure smooth repair processes.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff.
- Technical Documentation: Accurately document repair procedures, issues, and solutions to maintain comprehensive records and improve future repair efficiency.
- Adherence to Policies: Comply with DV Safe Phone's policies and guidelines, including privacy and confidentiality standards.
