Background: Climate Action Now Signs (CANsign) grew out of the loss of property and devastation of the Black Summer Bushfires of 2019/20 and the need to do much more to ensure action on climate. It was built on a pilot project in Gundaroo NSW where people put large signs on their farm and house gates demanding action on climate change.

CANsign began by developing and printing signs but has grown over the three years to work with other Climate Action (CAN) organisations such as the peak CAN body Climate Action Network Australia, Farmers for Climate Action, Vets for Climate Action, South Coast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) and several others to provide signs, posters, flyers and other merchandise and distribute it to members, use for publicity and at events for their members and that of the public. Today, CANsign focuses its energy on supporting other Not For Profit in the Environment movement, particularly on climate and biodiversity campaigns. To date, CANsign has helped design or dispatch over 90,000 signs, stickers and posters for these organisations.
