The Doncare Community Visitors Scheme provides the opportunity for friendship and companionship between Volunteer Visitors and older members of the local community wishing to have a chat, connect and enjoy the company of someone who has similar interests and experiences.

Doncare Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) Volunteer Visitors will be matched with and regularly visit an older person (Recipient) who is socially isolated and lonely either in their home or a Residential Aged Care home. The Volunteer Visitor will connect with the Recipient providing one to one companionship and friendship. Volunteers will be matched with a Recipient with similar interested or background as a starting point for building an ongoing connection.

Volunteer Visitors must be able to provide at least a twelve month commitment to the program. Short term absences are possible however regular visiting at least fortnightly (preferably weekly) is requested.
