BETTER (Building East Timor Through Education/Resources) is an Australian registered charity dedicated to enhancing the communities of East Timor through education. Our vision is to provide a "hand-up" rather than a "hand-out," creating prosperity for future generations.

The Role
BETTER is actively seeking a Tetun Translator, reporting directly to the General Manager, whose main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interpret and translate between English and Tetun
• Translate both spoken and written language

For the right candidate, this voluntary opportunity has great potential to gain further exposure as well as taking the lead on their own projects.

In terms of time commitment, we have a flexible approach to this, as we understand everyone is different. In order to achieve our ambitious mission, we request you commit approx. 3 hours per week.
