About Open Support: Established in 1990, Open Support is a community service organisation committed to providing assistance to families in need across NSW through the active participation of trained volunteers and staff.

Inspired by the charism of Mary Aikenhead and the Sisters of Charity, Open Support responds to unmet needs in society through the provision of greater access to healthcare, reducing social isolation and supporting families affected by domestic violence. The Open Support Shop raises money for the outreach programs.

Location: St Vincents Clinic Darlinghurst Sydney Hours: Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm, Shifts 9:00am-12pm or 12pm-3pm, or full days. Casual positions available.

Volunteer positions available 12 hours approximately per week or per fortnight.

Aspects of the role: Retail • Daily processing/preparation of the store e.g. take sign out • Operate POS/Credit Card Machine • Ensure point of sale procedures including EFTPOS and cash handling are adhered to. • Familiar and knowledgeable about stock • Assist in the attractive presentation and rotation of store merchandise • Assist in keeping the counter, merchandise and fixtures clean and tidy at all times. Customer Service • Provide courteous and professional service to customers • Listen to customers and provide advice with purchases and/or upsell where appropriate

Confidentiality • Maintain customer, client, staff and volunteer confidentiality in line with organisational policies, privacy legislation and other relevant standards
