The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme seeks to improve quality of life for people living in Aged Care by providing companionship for those who are socially isolated or lonely. Our volunteers find this experience very rewarding and have the opportunity to build friendships and a support network with other volunteers at our social events. This role requires a minimum of 1 hour per fortnight. Empathy for the elderly is essential and a desire to create a consistent friendship with the person in the aged care home. No physical care tasks will be required.
