The Eltham Toy Library is a not-for-profit organisation giving members the opportunity to borrow from a huge range of over 800 toys, games and puzzles. Children love visiting the toy library to help choose toys to take home and parents have the opportunity to meet other families with young children in the community.

We are looking for new committee members to help with general day to day running and management of the Toy Library.

Duties are split up between our committee based on skillset and availability, however duties may include:

• assisting with toy purchasing and cataloging new toys
• answering emails from members
• checking toys and ensuring shelves are tidy
• assisting with social media posts
• stocktaking inventory
• assisting with running borrowing sessions
• attending monthly committee meetings
• assisting with other toy library tasks where required

Skills and experience:

• we welcome people of all background and skills. The main requirement for this position is a willingness to jump in and help, and a positive attitude. While this position would suit someone who has previously worked with a non-profit organisation and has experience in committees, it is not essential and we are able to provide training as needed.

Time committment:

• this role would suit someone who can commit to around 3 hours per week (although this is flexible) which can be performed remotely and at any time that suits the person
• additionally, there is a set monthly meeting once a month which runs for approximately 1.5 hours
• it would also be preferred if the person is able to assist at the toy library on an semi-regular basis
