About Springvale Service for Children: Springvale Service for Children is a leading non-profit organisation committed to providing high-quality education, care, and support services to children in the Springvale and surrounding community. Role and Responsibilities: As a volunteer Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

• • Strategic Planning: Collaborating with fellow board members to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for Springvale Service for Children.
• • Governance and Oversight: Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, overseeing financial management, and evaluating organisational performance.
• • Partnership Development: Building and maintaining partnerships with other community organisations, businesses, and stakeholders to enhance our services and reach a wider audience.
• • Board Meetings and Committees: Attending regular board meetings, actively participating in discussions, and serving on committees to address specific areas of focus.

We are seeking individuals with the following attributes:

Expertise: Experience or expertise in areas such as education, early childhood development, finance, law, marketing, or non-profit management would be highly valuable.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to contribute to strategic decision-making and guide the organisation's growth.

Collaboration: The ability to work effectively as part of a team, engage in constructive discussions, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Availability: Availability to attend regular board meetings and actively participate in committee work. Flexible time commitment is appreciated.
