The Smith FamilyThis volunteer role provides the opportunity to use and enhance your communication, computer, and relationship skills, alongside other passionate team members. Learning for Life Administration volunteers participate in a range of activities including handling customer phone and email queries, entering and managing important data, and organising mail-outs. Through this role, volunteers provide critical background support for the educational and social development of disadvantaged young Australians to succeed at school, so they can create better futures for themselves.
Key Tasks & Activities: • General administrative duties • Reviewing and screening documents for child protection issues • Utilising SharePoint files and the CRM data base to review, enter and manage important data • Data entry and Excel spreadsheet management
Competencies / Skills Essential: • Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written • High level of attention to detail • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Desirable: • Competency in operating database or CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics • Competency in using MS Teams
Experience / Education
Desirable: • Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting people living in poverty • Experience in a similar position providing customer service and administrative assistance within a professional and confidential environment • Related Educational studies e.g. human resources, business administration
