Fitzroy Scout Group is looking for Group Support Committee members (similar to an advisory board) to support the work of our volunteer Leaders, by helping to oversee and coordinate the fundraising, finances and general operations of the Scout Group.

Fitzroy Scout Group provides access and opportunity for young people to learn through adventure in Scouting. We work with our communities, neighbours, and supporters to reduce or remove economic barriers to participation.

The role involves attending monthly committee meetings (90 mins) and providing ad hoc support and advice between meetings to support the Group Leader in leading the group. There are specific positions of responsibility available (such as chair, fundraising coordinator, grants coordinator, quartermaster) as well as general committee member roles.

You will join a diverse team of adults, including youth and parents and will find friendship and community. Fitzroy Scout Group is fortunate to have a strong team of volunteers and are an example of how a community and the Scouting movement can work together for our youth.

The Group also has a specific focus on supporting young people living in public housing to access the development opportunities of Scouting, through reducing economic barriers to participation.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
