Committee Position - Toy Library Treasurer

The Treasurer role is critical to the operation of the toy library. The main responsibilities are maintaining bookkeeping, monitoring the monthly budget, income and expenditure and advising the committee on financial strategy. You will need to have experience with accounting or bookkeeping but will have access to additional training (eg. through the Institute of Community Directors) and the support of the rest of the executive and broader committee of management. The Collingwood Toy Library is a not for profit, volunteer-run organisation that assists families by providing children with a changing selection of toys, puzzles and games for a minimal cost. It currently services approximately 700 families in the area and is a vital part of the local community. The Toy Library offers social, cognitive and motor development for young children of all abilities. With our stock of over 5000 toys, puzzles and games we encourage families with young children to enjoy quality time, while reducing their environmental impact.
