We are ‘Devoted 2 Dachsunds Rescue charity’ and we are holding an offical Guinness world record attempt dog walk, the rules stipulate its one dog per person for the 1km walk, but we have people with more than one dog so we need volunteers to walk a dog (dachshund) for the event, we also need foot traffic Marshalls to direct the dogs and walkers along the route (stopping them to allow bikes to cross) and also official stewards positioned along the route to supervise the walkers and dogs keeping to the track. Your commitment is for approximately 2 to 3 hours on a Sunday morning. We have received a lot of media attention for this event, and currently have well over 1,000 dachsunds registered. Our organisation rehomes Dachshunds from varied situations from neglect, abandonment, health issues, ex-breeding dogs, disabled (a common dachshund problem), and surrendered dogs due to personal circumstances. This charity walk is to raise money to help these dogs.
