We are seeking a volunteer to assist with the launch of a regular Farmers Market in Goulburn NSW.

Goulburn Farmers Market is an initiative of International Volunteers for Peace (IVP), an incorporated non-profit community group. For more information see our website: ivp.org.au

Work to date includes extensive research, business plan development, and securing a small events grant from Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

The Event Coordinator will be based in or near Goulburn and help progress plans to a launch and trial stage (6 markets, commencing on 28th October 2023, then continuing on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 8-11am). They will work with existing volunteers (local and remote), to enact some or all of the following:

• regular communications with stakeholders

• expansion of our potential stallholder base

• developing volunteer base to assist on market days

• promotion strategy, including production of logo/promotional material - per quotes already obtained

• logistics up to and during trial events

• planning an evaluation strategy for the trial

• attend meetings (face-to-face or online) with the Projects team

IVP hopes the Goulburn Farmers Market will become a self-managed entity, employing a paid Manager. This volunteer role will suit someone committed to the values of the Australian Farmers Market Association and International Volunteers for Peace. Anyone with interest or experience in events, community, marketing, health, sustainability, growing/ farming etc encouraged to apply. Hours flexible though input will be required most weeks.
