Strict adherence to the program Mentor Code of Conduct attend prescribed training is required

Time required

We ask the volunteer mentors provide a minimum of 1-2 hours of driving practice per week with the learner.

Reimbursement

There is no costs to volunteers or learners to participate in the program, we only ask for your time and willingness to support the learners.

Requirements

Driver's Licence (C)
National Police Certificate
Traffic Check
Working with Children Check
Working with Vulnerable People Check

- Interview - Driver History Report - Age 23 years and over and hold a current full Victorian licence - At least two references must be provided, one professional reference would be recommended - Provide a minimum of 1-2 hours driving practice per week - A minimum one-year commitment to the program - Good communication skills including a willingness to listen and learn - Ability to motivate and inspire young people - Motivated, reliable and confidential - Self-awareness, compassion and empathy
