The Opportunity

Due to continual growth within the organisation, we are seeking a Social Media Team Leader to join our team. You will be creative, energetic and have relevant social media experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations. This is a newly created role. We are looking for someone with drive and a passion for social media, looking to give back in a volunteer role. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing our Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn social media accounts
• Developing and growing our social media presence by scheduling regular posts, responding to comments, direct messages and tags
• Creating and implementing a social media strategy to increase engagement and drive traffic to our website and social media platforms
• Creating engaging content and utilising social media to increase the profile of Cancer Support Angels
• Measuring and reporting on engagement
• Overseeing and providing mentoring and support to a team of Social Media Officers.

This is both a strategic and operational role. This role is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and we are looking for approximately 3 to 5 hours per week with the flexibility to fit this work around other commitments. We do ask that volunteers are able to commit to a timeframe of at least 6 months in the role – although we hope that you’ll want to stay with us for much longer!

You will have your own computer and smart phone (incl reliable internet access).
