Sydney Heritage Fleet Grants Team Sydney Heritage Fleet is a volunteer organisation which restores, preserves and operates Australian maritime heritage. The Fleet receives no state or federal recurrent funding and its grant-writing activities are therefore critical.

Would you like to join our successful grant writing team? Previous experience of writing grant or submissions is desirable but not essential. The team raises between $60-100 thousand a year making fifteen or so applications annually of which 7-8 are granted. We are working with two significant grant providers to expand the size and range of grants available to SHF.

Training will be provided both face-to-face and online and members of the grants team will provide support and mentoring to the new writer.

Time commitment is approximately 4-5 hours per week, varying between 1-8 hours in any week. Applicants must be available to attend a weekly hour-long online meeting each Wednesday morning. You will require your own computer with a good internet connection and a copy of Microsoft Word.
