Ellen is located in East Fremantle care home and would love to have a friendly volunteer visit her once a week to do a bit of 'armchair travel', reminisce, and have a general chit-chat and cuppa.

If you have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with elderly people then this could be the volunteer role for you.

The Community Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve residents' quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.
