Community Choir Manager

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about being part of the With One Voice Perth community choir, and also help with the management of the choir.

  The choir is part of a registered charity (Creativity Australia) The choir managers' role will be to ensure smooth administration of the Perth CBD choir and sustainability of the choir going forward (i.e., new memberships).

  The role may be an individual or may be shared (i.e., a committee with a chair), depending on the number of applicants, the availability of individuals and the capabilities of applicants.

  Typical tasks include: 1. Administration Duties - Administration relating to operation of the choir; e.g. employment contract with Conductor\, ensuring insurances are up to date\, coordinating venue bookings\, setting up venue for rehearsals etc. 2. Financial Duties - Management of choir's finances including membership fees, administration fees, Conductor fees, Rehearsal hall fees, event fees, etc. Identify problem areas (e.g., cash flow issues); and additional funding sources (e.g., grants, corporate giving, etc.). Prepare and submit grant proposals on behalf of the choir. 3. Membership Duties - Choir member management and engagement. Focus on retention and growth opportunities. Key to the success of the choir is sourcing new members, especially those who are able to pay a full-fee to support others. These may include putting up flyers, speaking to businesses in the CBD, arranging a small talk/showcase where we talk about the benefits/strengths of the choir 4. Social Media and Marketing - Manage social media and marketing campaigns\, with a focus on member attraction and retention. 5. Event Management - Manage the choir's annual event (choir performances) calendar including administration and communication with the relevant event organiser. 6. Strategic Management - Develop a 2024 - 2025 strategic plan for the choir based on experience from working with the choir in 2023.

  In this role, you will be supported by existing choir members who have been part of the choir for several years. We are simply looking for more support & for fresh ideas.
