The role of volunteers is valuable and crucial in providing an individual source of comfort to enrich the day-to-day life of our residents. As a volunteer you will be safely and smoothly transporting groups of resident’s to and from different locations to meet the resident’s needs and preferences for outings and excursions. Your time spent with a resident could include assisting residents to safely board and depart the bus, bonding over a cup of tea or coffee and talking while walking with residents to enjoy the view. Bus trips encourage social and physical participation in a liberating and joyful fashion that target the individual resident’s overall health and wellbeing.
