About us

Fusion are a group of passionate youth and community workers, with over 60 years’ experience behind us. Fusion has dedicated teams in 16 locations around Australia, delivering a range of local programs and services, including youth housing, support for parents and work in schools.

Location: Canterbury-Bankstown LGA

Days: Thursday morning – 2 hours each week in school terms 7.30am to 9.30am

About the role

The Brekkie (Breakfast) Club program was developed in response to a need to provide breakfast and build stronger community at one of our local high schools.

Through Brekkie Club we endeavor to create a safe space for the students to be empowered, and connect with peers and youth workers, through modelling of healthy relationships.

Working with a small team of staff and other volunteers, you will help run Brekkie Club in the school grounds of Wiley Park Girls High School.

Roles may vary from week to week and consist of:

  • Engaging with students and building relationships
  • Food prep and kitchen hand
  • Serving food and drinks

All workers are involved in setting up and packing down, as well as short debrief afterward.

The suitable volunteer will have the following attributes:

  • Females Only
  • Able to pass a police check
  • Working with Children Check
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Be reliable and able to commit to at least 6 months
