Bring along your good-natured pet and spend time chatting with people in care at our residential aged care home in Miranda. We are seeking Dogs, Cats and small animals like Rabbits, guinea pigs and trained birds. You’ll see what a difference your furry or feathered friend can make.

This role will suit you if you have a pet and you're happy to just to sit and not necessarily talk all the time.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
