Uniting AgeWellYou may be interested in a connection with Vicky. Vicky is quietly spoken, kind and respectful she sometimes has problems with her memory and needs a volunteer who is patient and kind. She would like a volunteer to walk to nearby Bedford Park, go out for a cuppa at a local cafe and have a chat. Vicky is available fortnightly on Tues, Wednesday or Saturday afternoon
Connecting with *Vicky may involve visiting her at home, a chat over the phone, meeting for coffee and/or sharing a skill. It might involve checking out what’s on offer at a local neighbourhood centre, library or an activity of interest.
We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s license/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
