Do you have time to visit with Mary? Aged Care Social Support
You may be interested in a connection with Mary, a 85 year old woman who has lived in 3 countries and has many stories to share. In the past Mary played tennis and was very active, these days Mary enjoys spending time in her garden, dressmaking and craft as well as watching Tennis on TV. Mary would prefer a female volunteer to visit her fortnightly.
Connecting with *Mary may involve visiting her at home, a chat over the phone, meeting for coffee and/or sharing a skill. It might involve checking out what’s on offer at a local neighbourhood centre, library or an activity of interest.
We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s license/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
