This is an exciting opportunity for a new energetic and pro-active Co-Cordinator to assist the Chater Coordinater in leading this dynamic team in Canberra. Chapter Coordinator - Key Roles and Responsibilities** The Chapter Co-Coordinator is responsible for driving local fundraising activities, community engagement and providing ongoing support to volunteers. Management

  • Represent the organisation professionally when engaging with media, managing volunteers and interacting with members of the public.

  • Engage and support all areas of the SSAL Volunteer Program.

  • Communicate and work effectively with all volunteers from various backgrounds of race, religion, gender and personal views.

  • Assist with managing the local chapter email account; respond to all queries and questions. If unsure about certain queries, contact the National Outreach Coordinator for clarification and advice.

  • Assist with the management of the local Ocean Defence Tour with the Events Coordinator.

  • Adhere to all Sea Shepherd Australia Policies and ensure volunteers operate within the Sea Shepherd Australian Guidelines.
