We are looking for active, dedicated, kind, compassionate volunteers to assist with the delivery of our wheelchair sports programs.

Suncoast Spinners have been operating on the Sunshine Coast for over 25 years however, in the past 5 years our programs have increased from 1 to 6 weekly programs including wheelchair basketball and wheelchair basketball.

To provide an accessibly affordable program for members we rely on volunteers to fill roles including setting up- pack up - score bench - coaching - refereeing and general support to participants.

Successful applicants will be required to set up wheelchairs from storeroom located at the venue and pack away at the end. Training provided. No experience necessary however physical fitness will be required.

On occasions some members on occasion require assistance with chair transfer and assisting with taping. Many players require gloves and taping to secure.

Volunteering at a Suncoast Spinners wheelchair sports program is rewarding. We are the only provider of wheelchair sports between Brisbane and the Fraser Coast.

Our programs are inclusive of people of all abilities, this allows families to play sport together, friends and colleagues to build connections that have lasting benefits.

Suncoast Spinners are leaders in the Australian wheelchair sporting sector with a focus on community social sport which is well supported by local Paralympians Bridie Kean and Chris Bond.

Volunteering at our programs will provide opportunities to meet both social players and elite athletes.
