Mature Artist Dance Experience Inc are seeking a new treasurer to join volunteer Board. (TAS)

Mature Artist Dance Experience

The Role

Our previous Treasurer is reluctantly retiring from the position after nine years and is looking forward to help train the next Treasurer. MADE employs a contract bookkeeper, an Executive Producer and an Office Administrator (both part-time), and four dance instructors (casual). Xero is the accounting software used and the organisation is in a very strong financial position and is registered as a small charity (DGR) with ACNC.

The Board of nine is very friendly, supportive and passionate. As a volunteer Board Director for a not-for-profit organisation, you will be supporting the arts and older people, be available for approximately six meetings per year and be prepared to make a contribution for a term of three years. We are based in Hobart but may consider applications from applicants based in other locations.

We need someone who will:

• Be able to provide the Board with relevant financial information so that it can make informed decisions.
• Ensure that all the organisation’s financial rules are observed; • That correct financial procedures and reporting requirements are followed; • That all financial decisions are taken in the light of all necessary information and that financial matters are handled responsibly.

Could this person be you? Or do you know of someone who would like to contribute to taking a stable organisation through an exciting period of growth.

If you have any questions please contact the MADE office in the first instance call 0427 198 845.
