Grandparents for Grandchildren SA Inc (GFGSA) the vision of a community in which all children and young people are cared for and kept safe in a nurturing, family environment and that the role of grandparents and kinship carers is recognised, supported and valued.

How would you like to be the first point of contact for GFGSA for visitors & callers to their office as well as providing administrative support for the activities of the organisation?

You will be welcoming, understanding & helpful in your responses to visitors and callers, providing information relating to GFGSA services and/or those other agencies that may be able to assist them.

There is an importance in recording information relating to client communication in a timely and accurate manner.

This exciting volunteer role will have you:

• filing electronic data
• preparing agenda's and take minutes of meetings
• being involved in the intake of new clients where you assess and identify key issues and implement interventions and support for them.
• Liaising with GFGSA Client Support/Village Facilitator for the area where any new client is based.

So, if you have an advocacy or community services field qualification, this will be great. Also good communication & organisational skills and having the ability to build rapport and being non-judgmental in relating to people with diverse backgrounds is a must.
