Did you know that outdoor gardening builds strength, promotes sleep, and helps you maintain a healthy weight? And did you know that volunteering can bring meaning and purpose to your life, increase your self-esteem and well-being, relieve stress, and alleviate symptoms of depression? Why not take advantage of both benefits and become a volunteer gardener at the Southern Fleurieu Health Service in Victor Harbor.

Volunteer Gardeners are an intricate part of the Southern Fleurieu Health Service (Hospital & Community Health) team and assist in maintaining the gardens on the property to an admired standard. Duties include: watering by hand or soaker hose; weeding of a general nature (no back breaking tasks); trimming with hand tools (nothing too strenuous); small repairs to irrigation systems where practical. Please note: no lawn mowing, poisoning and electrical tools need to be used, Contractors are utilised for these tasks.
