• Prepare an annual budget, in consultation with the Management Committee • Present monthly finance reports for Management Committee meetings • Follow up on any outstanding accounts • Coordinate with Finance Officer to ensure preparation of final accounts and liaise with Auditors towards presenting annual accounts to the Management Committee and Annual General Meeting • Prepare and present Annual Report at Annual General Meeting
• Perform all necessary tasks in relation to financial records and bank accounts as required by the Management Committee, Association Act, and the Australian Tax Office • Provide leadership for Finance Sub-Committee • Signing of contracts on behalf of the Management Committee • Ensure timely acquittal of grants and contracts

Skills: • Proficient in MYOB or Xero or similar software application • Excellent financial management skills; budgeting and reporting • Understanding of Community Work and working with volunteers • Good Communication skills • Ability to build a good rapport with staff and volunteers

Knowledge: • Financial management principles and practices and legal responsibilities • Australian Tax Office requirements as they apply to not-for-profit organisations • Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission

Experience/ Qualification: • Experience in preparing business budgets • Experience in preparation of funding acquittals and Business Activity Statements (BAS) • Experience and participation in community management
