Key Duties:

• Assisting in the employee and/or volunteer onboarding process
• Advising on HR issues
• Interviewing and filtering applicants
• Meeting with employment participants to offer your expertise in their pursuit of becoming more employable
• Liaise with kitchen team and management on participants and their program progress

Skills and Experience:

• Experience as an HR professional required
• Experience working with vulnerable people preferred
• Proficiency in HRM (preferably Employment Hero)

The charity work you'll be contributing to: Worthy Cause employs vulnerable people who, due to complex barriers such as hardship, disability or disadvantage, have not been able to find long-term employment. With the help of our structured employment program, they can receive a stable income, financial literacy training, emotional counselling, soft-skills development and on-the-job skills building in an inclusive and safe environment. When they’re ready, they can find other employment on their terms.

We produce and sell cookies through our online store, to corporate customers, at markets and events and through retailers and wholesale channels. We operate two social enterprise cafes in Heidelberg and Preston. These funds are used to maintain and support the employment program.
