The check in of a client's welfare is a great way to add value to their day and help to meet their individual social needs. This provides them with an opportunity to engage with you (as a dedicated volunteer) and break up their daily routine.

Often our clients have little interaction with people outside of their homes and they genuinely appreciate someone giving them their time and attention.

While you will absolutely be making a positive difference in the client's lives don't be fooled this is a two-way street. The personal reward that you will feel in return by putting some magic in a client’s day is also pretty special.

You will also need to log the call on completion to enable your interaction to be recorded as an individual social support activity.

If you love to talk and enjoy creating meaningful conversations with some really interesting people this might be the perfect volunteering role for you.
