The treasurer ensures we are compliant with laws governing Associations and Not-for-Profits. This position also helps secure funding for projects and ideas voted on by the committee, helping us achieve our goals of a connected, healthy, sustainable community.

This position informs the other committee members of our financial position and balances the incoming and outgoing payments for the group.

Key Tasks

To maintain all financial records. To monitor the income and expenditure of the association. To keep the committee informed of the financial position of the association. To prepare and present financial statements to the Annual General Meeting. To report yearly to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety by submitting an Information Statement via Associations Online. To assist in the developing of funding and budgets for new projects.
