Alzheimer's WA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to assist our Mary Chester House team. Reporting to the house manager, you will work closely with our day centre team to ensure that meals are prepared to a high standard and that clients' individual meal preferences are accommodated where possible.

As a meal preparation assistant, you will have the opportunity to facilitate clients in assisting with meal preparation and meal choice. You will work together to create an enjoyable and supportive environment while maintaining the kitchen to meet food safety standards..

In this role, you will have the opportunity to enjoy chatting with our group members in a friendly and supportive environment, sharing life experiences and creating lasting friendships. We welcome individuals who are passionate about helping others and who possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

We're looking for support between 9am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the aged care sector, make a difference in people's lives, and develop new skills while enhancing your existing ones. You will have the chance to meet new people and build new relationships while being a part of a supportive and friendly team. We welcome candidates who are willing to learn and participate in training and development and who have a basic understanding of work health and safety in the workplace.
