The volunteer will: • Conduct marketing, promotion, advocacy and advertising activities for VA events, products and services to represent and increase VA's positive and growing community presence
• Provide assistance with event related activities by supporting staff and other volunteers at events, expos and conferences during bump in/out and during the event. • Engage and consult with a broad range of stakeholders to spread awareness of how people live with blindness or low vision and VA services, as well as motivate and encourage individuals to become involved in the VA community • Coordinate specific programs or tasks to ensure program requirements are met and completed in a timely manner • Complete required data recording tasks to accurately record information about your volunteering activities and any information and feedback collected at events • Communicate effectively with current and potential clients to understand and respond to their needs
• Provide excellent customer service, information and liaison to maintain high customer satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner (e.g. friendly meeting and greeting)
