Position is available: 1 day per week or fortnight - Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (no weekends available)
Shift: 9.30AM-1PM
Are you interested in sustainability, reducing food wastage and helping to feed our incredible animals,, but only have a few hours to spare each week?
Taronga Zoos Nutrition Centre is where all of our amazing animalsβ diets are delivered, sorted and lovingly prepared by our awesome Nutrition Officers and Volunteers, led by one of the worlds best Animal Nutritionists. Tarongas animals receive only the best, with each animal having dedicated diets and recipes to ensure the highest welfare, and tastiest treats! Our Nutrition team is looking for volunteers to assist in collecting oversupplied foods from supermarkets in the North Shore area and bring it back to Taronga to be sorted, weighed, prepared and stored.
Commitment required:
- Applicants must be available to work at least one day per fortnight, weekly preferred
- This position is available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only, 9.30am-1pm
- This position requires a commitment of 12 months
- All Taronga Volunteers are required to complete induction & training
